OBJECT:

To be the first player to get all 5 parts of your badge.

CONTENTS:

Game board, car movers, mover stands, fire wheel, spinner, spinner card, five yellow frames which have these parts: 4 badge bases, 4 badge clips, 4 eagles, 4 stars, 4 honor parts, 4 firefighter parts, 4 police parts, 2 radios, winner's medal, cat and cat assembly, fire wheel assembly, label sheet.

SET UP:

Place the game board so that the words "Badge of Honor" are facing you. At the upper right corner of the board is the tree that the cat has to be placed in. Remove the large and small oval-shaped pieces from the frames and put the cat label on the larger piece. Now place this piece into the slot on the tree. Snap the small oval piece onto the posts on the back to hold the cat in place.

At the upper left corner of the board is the house behind which the fire wheel is placed. Remove the small round snaps from the frame (one has a post, one has a hole). Line up the holes for the fire wheel and the house. Place the snap with post through those holes. Attach the snap with hole to the post from the back.

Remove the rest of the plastic parts from the frame and label them using the package back as a guide.

Place the two radios on the two game board spaces that have the words "Radio another player for backup".

ASSEMBLE THE SPINNER:

Separate the spinner from the collar and remove and discard the plastic nib. Press the collar completely into the spinner card from the bottom side. Snap the spinner into the top of the collar.

Carefully remove the cars from the sheet. Each player takes a car and places it in a mover stand. Place all movers that are being used at START, between the firehouse and police station.

Each player also takes a badge base and a badge clip. You will see that each badge base has four holes in the front. During the game you will collect parts that attach to the badge using these holes and the two posts on the back. The package shows you where each part will go once you collect it.

Players can attach the clip to the badge if they want to wear it during the game. Slide the end that has the solid, flat rectangle tab into the raised slot that's under the top hole (See Illustration).

For now, put the 20 pieces that you are going to be collecting off to the side of the board.

PLAYING:

On your turn, spin the spinner and move your mover that many spaces. On your first turn you can move to the left or to the right. During the game, arrows will show you which way to move. Spaces are divided by white lines. Follow the directions for the space that you land on (See "Spaces" below). If you spin "Move to any space", follow the directions for whatever space you take your car to.

SPACES:

You will be able to collect a part to your badge on almost every space on the game board. Follow the
directions on the space that you land on and then look at the space to see if you collect the STAR, EAGLE, HONOR, POLICE OFFICER or FIRE FIGHTER part to your badge. During the game, you cannot have more than one of these parts. You should still follow the instructions for the space you land on—but the next

player would take his/her turn right after that.

Rescue the cat: After you rescue the cat by moving it down from the tree, put it in the up position so that the next player can also rescue the cat.

Pretend to put the fire out: Just like the cat space, after you turn the wheel and put out the fire, put the wheel back in the fire position so that the next player can put the fire out, too.

Radio another player for backup: Pick up the radio and call any other
player to back you up. That player then joins you by moving his/her car to that same space. They will then take their next turn from that space. Only the player that first lands on the space can collect the Star.

Name the station dalmatian: Players who land on this space announce their favorite name for the fire stations' dog.

ENDING AND WINNING THE GAME:

The first player to get all five badge parts is the winner. This player gets the winner medal and gets to move their car around the game board for the last patrol of the game!
