WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - This toy contains small parts. Not for children under 3 years. |
OBJECT OF THE GAME
To be the first player to go from the START BUS to the FINISH BUS by
following the green footprints and Report Cards around the playing board.
SET-UP
Carefully remove all plastic parts from their frames. Remove the 6
character pieces carefully and place them in the mover stands, then place
the report cards off to the side of the game board. Place the spinner
on top of the game board and push the collar in from the bottom side until
it snaps into place.
BEGINNING THE GAME
The youngest player begins by choosing a playing piece and placing
it on the starting bus space. That player then spins the Spinner and advances
the number of footprints or report card spaces indicated by the Spinner.
THE SPINNER
The Spinner has six numbers, ranging from one to six, and two colors
- yellow and green. When a player spins, the number the Spinner points
to will determine the number of footprints he/she advances. If a player
lands on a space, he/she will answer either a green or yellow question
(see Question Cards).
READING THE CARDS
The Reader is the Person to the player's left. When a player's turn
is over, the Reader becomes the new player.
QUESTION CARDS
Each Question Card has six questions and answers per side. The questions
are arranged into three age categories
and two colors.
AGE CATEGORIES - Preschool, Ages 6-7, Age 8
COLORS - yellow and green
Example of play: if a six-year-old player spins the Spinner and it
points to the number 4, that player will advance four spaces. He/she will
land on either a green footprint or a Report Card. If the player lands
on a footprint he/she will answer a green-colored question under the Ages
6-7 group because the number 4 on the Spinner is green. If
the same player spun a 5 instead he/she would answer a yellow question
under his/her age group since the number
5 on the Spinner is yellow.
NOTE: Question Cards should be returned to the pile after each question has been answered. The Question Cards have two colors to aid in remembering which side has already been played.
REPORT CARDS
When a player spins the Spinner and moves ahead the number of foot-prints
indicated, he/she may land on a Report Card. At this point the player
picks up a Report Card and follows the directions on the card, thus ending
his/her
turn.
ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS
When a player correctly answers a school question, he/she moves
ahead one additional space on the game board. Should a player
land on a Report Card after moving ahead one additional footprint, that
player must follow the Report Card's directions. After a player has completed
his/her turn, play moves on to the next person in a clockwise direction.
WINNING THE GAME
The winner is the first player to land on the Finish Bus having followed
the Report Cards and answered the appropriate questions.
NOTE: If a player is two footprints away from the Finish Bus and he/she spins a 5, he/she may advance to the finish and answer an age-and color- appropriate question. If a player does not answer the question correctly, that player must go back to his/her previous position on the game board.
NOTE: In order for a player to win the game, he/she must answer the
final question correctly.
| If a player has been able to master his/her age category, he/she may find it more challenging to play the next higher age group. | ![]() |
