Object:
Be the first player to collect all 4 of your color
landing pads.
Contents:
16 landing pads (4 each of 4 different colors), 4
Jay Jay™ movers, spinner
card, spinner, label sheet.
Set
Up:
Assemble the spinner.
Separate the spinner from the collar and remove
and discard the plastic nib.
Press the collar completely into the spinner card
from the bottom side.
Snap the spinner into the top of the collar.
Place the two red labels on each wing of one Jay
Jay mover. Do the same with the other three Jay Jay movers—placing the two
matching color labels on
another Jay Jay mover and so on. Each player
chooses a Jay Jay mover.
Separate the landing pads from the sheet. Place
all 16 landing pads color side up—even if only two or three people are
playing—as shown on the back of the package. While the pads do not have to be
placed in any particular order, it's nice to mix them up so the same colors are
not right next to each other.
Each player puts their Jay Jay mover on ANY
landing pad. It does not have to match your color.
Playing the Game:
The youngest player starts the game by spinning
the spinner. Move your Jay Jay mover to ANY landing pad of the same color that
you spun. You must, however, land on a pad that no other Jay Jay is on!
SPINNING A SPACE WITH THE COLOR THAT MATCHES YOUR
WING LABELS:
If the spinner lands on a space that matches your
color stripes, move to any matching color pad that does not already have a Jay
Jay mover on it. You now get to take that landing pad and place it near you.
Leave your Jay Jay mover on the now empty
space until your next turn. The next player now goes.
SPINNING A SPACE WITH A COLOR THAT DOES NOT MATCH
YOUR WING LABELS:
When this happens, move to any unoccupied pad that
matches the color that you spun and wait there until your next turn.
SPINNING A SPACE THAT HAS ALL FOUR COLORS ON IT:
Sometimes the spinner will stop on one of the
spaces that has all four colors. This usually is GREAT news, because it means
you can move your Jay Jay mover to ANY landing pad of ANY color, as long as no
other Jay Jay mover is there. You will want to—if you can!—move your Jay Jay
mover to any landing pad that matches the stripes on your wings. That way,
after moving, you can remove that pad and keep it!
NOTE: Only one Jay Jay mover can be on a landing
pad at one time. For
instance, if you spin your color and there is a
Jay Jay on all of your color pads, stay where you are until your next turn.
As more and more landing pads are taken by
players, you may want to make the circle smaller, taking up the empty spaces.
Ending and Winning the Game:
The first player to collect all four of their
color landing pads is the winner!
