28 Scooby-Doo! dominoes, Scooby-Doo! Figure

Object:

To be the player with no dominoes, or the fewest dominoes, left at the end of the game.

Set Up:

Place all of the Dominoes face down and mix them. Each player takes five dominoes, looks at them so no other player can see them, and places them face down in front of them. A player can look at their own dominoes whenever they want

during the game. Young players can keep their dominoes face up.

Place the Scooby-Doo! figure off to the side. The rest of the dominoes becomes the draw pile.

Playing:

Each domino has two parts, or ends, each with a picture on it. Any

players who have a “double” domino—one that has the same picture on both sides—shows it. The youngest player with a “double” domino starts the game by placing that domino face up on the playing surface. Play now moves to the left.

Note: If no player has a double

domino, all the dominoes go back to the draw pile and are remixed. Each player now takes five dominoes and the game moves on.

The player to the left of the player who put down the double domino takes their turn. This player tries to match one of his or her dominoes

to either end or side of the double.

For instance, if the first domino played is

a double Shaggy, the second player may add any domino that has Shaggy on one end. The next player may play to the first

double or try to match the end of the

second domino played.

Only one domino may be played at each turn! Dominoes are placed lengthwise—except when a double is played as shown.

Players may play

to either end or

to either side

of a double.

Special Scooby-Doo! Domino:

When a player plays a domino that has the picture

of Scooby-Doo! with the words Scooby-Doo! on it

(see picture), that player takes the Scooby-Doo!

figure. This also happens when a player places the

double of the special Scooby-Doo! domino.

When a player gets the special Scooby-Doo! they

can immediately do one of two things:

1) If they have another domino in their hand that they

can place, they get an extra turn and keep Scooby-Doo!

until another player gets to take him.

2) If they do not have another domino in their hand that they can play, they can put ANY of their dominoes, face down, back into the draw pile. They keep Scooby-Doo! until another player gets to take him.

If a player cannot match a picture at any open end of a row, he or she must pick from the draw pile until they can find a match. If that player draws the last domino and still cannot play, that player passes and will try again on his or her next turn. A player MUST play a domino if they are able to do so.

Ending and winning the game:

The game continues until one player has used all of his or her dominoes OR until no one can play. The player who has Scooby-Doo! at the end of the game gets to subtract 2 points from the final core. The player with no dominoes, or with the least number of dominoes wins.
