For 3 to 4 players, ages 12 to adult

Targeting the Object of the Game
To quickly and correctly answer questions in order to advance your pawn around the board and land on the Finish space by exact count. 

Setting up to Play
To prepare for playing Trivia For Dummies, follow these steps: 

1. Give each player a matching set (same color on the backs) of 10 answer cards. Each player lines up the cards in a single line in front of her in the following order: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. 

Numbers 1 through 8 also feature a color for color questions and numbers 9 and 10 also feature the words "TRUE" and "FALSE" for those types of questions. 

2. Each player takes the game pawn that corresponds with the color on the back of his answer cards and places it at the Start space. 

3. Stand the Trivia cards in one of the large pockets in the tray. 

Getting Acquainted with the Cards
Each of the Trivia question cards has four questions on it, including one in each of the following categories: 
 
The answers to these questions are always a color or colors.
These questions are always answered with a number between 1 and 10. 
Maybe is not a choice here! The answers to these questions are always either True or False.
The answers to these questions can be any of the answer cards mentioned above. 

Using the Answer Cards
Each player has an identical deck of answer cards. (Identical except for the color on the backs of the cards!) These cards contain all the answers to the game, which can be one of the following: 

• The numbers 1 through 10 

• The colors Black, White, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange and Purple 

• True and False 

Having Fun with the Board
The spaces on the board match the categories on the Trivia question cards. When a player lands on one of these spaces, it tells him or her which question to read from the Trivia question card. 

If a player lands on one of the spaces that tells him to move ahead or back, he should move ahead or back. He then reads the question that corresponds to the new space that he lands on. 

Because the players must land on the Finish space by exact count, you see an option near the end of the board. When players get to the last four spaces of the board they have a choice to make for every round they win. They may choose to move ahead one space or, as in regular turns, roll the die. If they decide to roll and the number -they roll is higher than the number of spaces between their pawn and the Finish space, they do not advance at all on that turn, but they still read the corresponding question to the rest of the players. 

Playing the Game
To play Trivia For Dummies, follow these steps: 

1. The player with the lowest roll starts the game by taking the front Trivia card, turning it over (so no other players can see it!) and reading the Miscellaneous question out loud. 

2. All the other players quickly grab the answer card that they believe to be correct from their deck and throw it into the center of the board. 

3. The first player to throw down the correct answer wins that round. In case of a tie, the reader of the question determines the winner. 

4. The player who wins the round rolls the die and moves his or her pawn around the board that many spaces. 

Note: If none of the players throws down the correct answer,then the player who read the question wins the round. 

S. This player now becomes the new reader for the next round. He or she draws a new Trivia question card and reads the question from the category that matches the space that his or her pawn is on. Play continues in this manner. 

Winning the Game
The first player to move his or her pawn all the way around the board and land on the Finish space on exact count wins the game.
